Since 2003, St. Anthony has embraced the challenge to care for the ever-expanding group of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias by providing an 18-bed Alzheimer’s facility. Alzheimer’s care, at St. Anthony focuses on minimizing the frustrations of failing memory and disorientation and encourages each individual to participate in life to the best of their abilities in a secure, comfortable, homelike environment. Residents benefit from living room settings, family-style dining, activity areas and a staff of caregivers who are trained to apply the best practices in Alzheimer’s care on a daily basis. Every effort is made to celebrate the uniqueness of each individual and to nurture the individual spirit by learning as much as possible about family and friends.
