Gus and Lil Schroeder have a vision for western Iowa, and they are willing to share of their personal resources to make it happen. In December 2006, Gus and Lil invited family and friends to share in a "celebration of giving" at which many organizations that have been important to the Schroeder's throughout their lifetime received a gift. At the event, St. Anthony Regional Hospital received a gift of $250,000.
"We have been blessed, and we are so grateful we can make these gifts." said Gus and Lil Schroeder. The couple's daughters, Ann Neppel and Robin Hansen, support their parent's desires by saying "Mom and Dad wanted to do this while they were still living rather than wait until they were gone."
The Schroeder's generous gift will enhance healthcare services at St. Anthony and will touch the lives of thousands of people living in western Iowa.
