St. Anthony Regional Hospital announced today the continuation of orthopedic services separately from Capital Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Through this recent joint decision, St. Anthony Orthopedics will have the ability to build a program through the hospital beginning May 1, 2022. The transition to St. Anthony Orthopedics will be a seamless transition unnoticeable to patients.
Dr. Richard Goding and the staff will continue to provide full-time orthopedic services and surgery to the community and west-central Iowa. Dr. Goding specializes in innovative procedures such as joint preservation, robotic joint replacements, and reconstruction surgery.

It’s an exciting step to have him employed at St. Anthony,” said Eric Hammer, Vice President of Regional Operations. “St. Anthony is committed to providing quality orthopedic services and rehabilitation close to home. We look forward to the expansion of St. Anthony Orthopedics which will allow St. Anthony to recruit additional orthopedic surgeons and become a leading orthopedic program in western Iowa.”
