The recognition is based on patient survey data collected through the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS), a national standardized survey that measures patients’ perspectives of hospital care. The CMS ratings reflect survey responses from patients discharged between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025.
St. Anthony Regional Hospital was one of a select number of hospitals nationwide, and among a small group of Iowa hospitals, to receive the top cleanliness distinction.
“This recognition speaks volumes about the pride our entire team has, especially our Environmental Services Team, in the work they do every day,” said President and CEO Allen Anderson. “Their commitment to cleanliness, safety, and patient experience is exceptional, and we are incredibly grateful for the important role they play in the care we provide.”
Hospital cleanliness is closely tied to patient confidence, comfort, and overall care experience. The Becker’s recognition highlights hospitals that consistently demonstrate excellence in maintaining high standards of environmental services and infection prevention practices.
Becker’s Hospital Review is a leading healthcare publication covering hospital and health system news, rankings, and analysis nationwide.
