Scholarship applications are now available through the St. Anthony Foundation for students pursuing a profession in the health care field and range in amounts from $600 to $5,000. The Foundation is excited to announce the addition of scholarship opportunities for students pursuing a degree in hospital spiritual care studies and three $5,000 scholarships for students pursuing an education in behavioral health.
“We are proud to support students pursuing careers in healthcare, with the hope that they will return to St. Anthony to practice and build long-term careers,” said Sarah Foley, St. Anthony Foundation Director. “These scholarships have a profound impact, creating a legacy of care. Over the decades, we’ve seen recipients graduate, come back to work at St. Anthony, and even have their children apply for scholarships. It’s truly inspiring.”
In 2025, the St. Anthony Foundation awarded 40 scholarships to local students totaling over $60,000.
All scholarships require students to maintain a 2.5 minimum grade point average. Only one application needs to be submitted to apply for all scholarships offered through the St. Anthony Foundation.
Scholarship applications and guidelines are available from guidance counselors at most area high schools and community colleges, including Ar-We-Va, Audubon, Carroll Community, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Denison, East Sac County, Glidden-Ralston, Greene County, IKM-Manning, Kuemper Catholic, South Central Calhoun, Des Moines Area Community College and Western Iowa Tech Community College.
