Every year, St. Anthony Regional Hospital and St. Anthony Foundation invest in the next generation of health care professionals through scholarships made available by families and donors in west central Iowa. Scholarship applications are now available through the St. Anthony Foundation for students pursuing a profession in the health care field and range in amounts from $500 to $2,500.
“We are proud to support students pursuing careers in healthcare, with the hope that they will return to St. Anthony to practice and build long-term careers,” said Sarah Foley, St. Anthony Foundation Director. “These scholarships have a profound impact, creating a legacy of care. Over the decades, we’ve seen recipients graduate, come back to work at St. Anthony, and even have their children apply for scholarships. It’s truly inspiring.”
In 2024, the St. Anthony Foundation awarded 41 scholarships to local students. This year, the Foundation anticipates being able to offer additional scholarships, thanks to the generosity of several families and donors who continue to support the Foundation’s scholarship efforts.
All scholarships require students to maintain a 2.5 minimum grade point average. Only one application needs to be submitted to apply for all scholarships offered through the St. Anthony Foundation.
Scholarship applications and guidelines are available from guidance counselors at most area high schools and community colleges, including Ar-We-Va, Audubon, Carroll Community, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Denison, East Sac County, Glidden-Ralston, Greene County, IKM-Manning, Kuemper Catholic, South Central Calhoun, Des Moines Area Community College and Western Iowa Tech Community College.
For more information, call the St. Anthony Foundation at 712-794-5287 or email foundation@stanthonyhospital.org. A fillable PDF application is available through email or online by clicking here. To be considered for a scholarship, completed applications must be received by Monday, March 28, 2025. Scholarship recipients will be announced in May.
