Garden View Assisted Living, on the St. Anthony campus in Carroll, Iowa has received the
2021 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award, which is awarded by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living. This award recognizes Garden View for the excellent care that staff provides to tenants, along with their commitment to always improving and getting better.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award” said Kari Nuzback, RN, Director of Garden View. “This award gives special recognition to our compassionate, hard-working staff and also makes us eager to pursue the next levels of recognition, which are the Silver and Gold Quality Awards. I also want to thank our nursing supervisor, Jaycie Schwenk, RN, for spearheading this application so that Garden View and our staff could be publicly recognized for the excellent care they provide to our tenants.”

Organizations wishing to achieve the Bronze, Silver or Gold distinctions must begin with the Bronze level where they access their organization’s mission, vision and key factors that lead to success. Bronze applicants must also demonstrate their ability to implement a sustainable performance improvement system. As a recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award, Garden View Assisted Living may now move forward in pursuit of the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award.

“I am very proud of our staff at Garden View Assisted Living. They truly deserve this honor and they work hard every day to provide the best care for our residents.” said Ed Smith, President & CEO of St. Anthony Regional Hospital. “We all look forward to achieving the next level in this pursuit of excellence.”

The tenants of Garden View Assisted Living are in complete agreement of this special recognition, as shared by Loretta Hansen, who has called Garden View “home” for nearly three years. She said, “It takes great staff to run a wonderful place like this and they all are #1 if you ask me.”
