THANK YOU TO OUR DOCTORS!

Doctor's dayDoctors treat people in our clinics, emergency rooms, hospital, and even online. They bring our new babies into the world, and they provide us with the care we need in our final days on earth.

Doctors never really stop working. They do not have the luxury of punching out at the end of the day. They may have to leave the family dinner table to respond to an urgent call from a sick patient or be called out in the middle of the night to deliver a baby or perform an emergency operation. Most doctors are where they are for one reason: They want to help people.

On March 30th, National Doctor’s Day, think about your doctor, and all of the doctors who have touched your life. Here in west central Iowa, we are so incredibly blessed to have really great physicians! Doctors' Day provides us with the opportunity to reach out and thank them for their many contributions to you and me, to our friends and neighbors.

On Doctor’s Day and every day, say a prayer of thanks for the work they do, and be sure to express your appreciation the next time you see them whether in a clinic, the hospital or at the grocery store. On behalf of the Board of Directors of St. Anthony Regional Hospital, our employees, and volunteers, we thank and honor our physicians for their skill and commitment. Your oath to medicine and your patients makes our community a better place to live.

Sincerely,
Edward H. Smith, Jr.
