Where can I go to find answers about the Medicare prescription drug plans? Are mammograms covered by Medicare Part B? What is a Medicare Advantage plan?
I’m turning 65—who can help me understand Medicare? My medications have gotten so expensive I just can’t afford to take them all, is there any help?
Answers to these questions can be found by meeting with an Iowa Senior Health Insurance Information Program or SHIIP counselor at St. Anthony Regional Hospital and Nursing Home.
St. Anthony Regional Hospital is pleased to announce that Ralph vonQualen from Carroll completed the extensive training program and will be assisting prospective and current Iowa Medicare beneficiaries in navigating their insurance choices. The counseling is service provided by the state of Iowa Insurance Division’s SHIIP program and is sponsored locally by St. Anthony Hospital.
Ralph, his wife Sharon and their family moved to Carroll in 1994. He is the owner of ACTS and does contract research on soybeen diseases for seed companies, universities and consultants. During tax seesion he assists Feldman and Company with tax fililngs. He was movitated to help other people sign up for Medicare after he help he received from Carroll’s SHIIP counselor, Karen Johnson.
