Anita Becker has accepted the executive role of Vice President of Patient Services at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. In this role, Becker works directly with the nursing staff and physicians to optimize each patient's care at St. Anthony.

Beginning as a bedside staff nurse in critical care, Anita has had the privilege of a 30-year career in healthcare. During her career, she has held many leadership positions serving the needs of her patients, community and colleagues. Most recently, she served as the Interim Hospital Administrator and Director of Patient Care Services/Nurse Executive at Shriners Hospital for Children in Honolulu, Hawaii leading the organization's operations, strategic initiatives and clinical team. She previously served as Chief Nursing Officer in Houma, LA, and Director of Critical Care Services in Slidell, LA.

“When speaking to the importance of nursing, I will defer to the words of nursing theorist, Dr. Jean Watson, when she stated, 'Maybe this one moment, with this one person, is the very reason we’re here on Earth at this time.' In those words, she distilled what it means to be a nurse and embodies the mission of St. Anthony Regional Hospital. We are dedicated to improving the health of the people we serve because it is our reason for being.” said Anita Becker.

Anita received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Administration from Samford University. Her Master of Science in Nursing was earned at Chamberlain College of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Anita and her husband, John, originate from Louisiana and are settling into the community.
