Diabetes Prevention Program Through St. Anthony Chronic Care Center

Employee Spotlight: Sheri & Dave Andersen Join Forces for Better Health

After receiving health alerts and a nudge from her insurance company, Sheri Andersen knew it was time to make a change. When she learned about the Diabetes Prevention Program offered at St. Anthony, she and her husband, Dave, decided to join together.

“The program gave us tools, support, and accountability,” Sheri said. “We started incorporating daily movement, reading food labels, and even juicing fruits and vegetables. I now make more intentional choices—versus eating on impulse.”

Dave agreed, noting that portion control and physical activity have made a real difference. “I feel better, and I’ve lost weight. It’s a lifestyle shift we’ve taken on together.”

Both Sheri and Dave have implemented several strategies learned through the program into their daily living habits - and it can be as simple as walking laps in the driveway! Come learn more at the Diabetes Prevention Program Discovery Session!

The St. Anthony Diabetes Services Team invites you to their Discovery Session: Take Back Your Life! Diabetes Prevention Program is a lifestyle change program to help you implement changes to lose weight and reduce the risk of getting type 2 diabetes. The Discovery Session is intended to learn more about the program to see if it's the right fit for you.

St. Anthony Unveils Redesign to Patient Portal for Easier Access to Health Records

My Health

We are excited to roll out a major redesign of our patient portal, now called MyHealth (formerly My eChart), making it easier than ever for patients to stay connected to their care.

This will launch on September 23, 2025. MyHealth is more than just a name change. It’s a complete refresh that puts access, personalized tools, and convenience at the center of the patient experience. Patients can now manage their health wherever they are—on a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer—with just a few taps or clicks.

Key Features of MyHealth:

  • Book and pre-register for appointments, complete questionnaires, and update personal details including medications and allergies, all before arriving for their visit.
  • Access provider notes, lab results, and radiology reports, securely message care providers, and request prescription renewals—all in one place
  • Share portal access with family members or caregivers, enabling loved ones to help manage appointments, track inpatient updates, view billing, and stay informed about ongoing care.

This upgrade is a major leap forward in supporting patients’ ability to manage their own health, something that’s become more important than ever in today’s digital world.

A huge shoutout to our IT analysts and team members for their work on this project!

None of this would be possible without the incredible dedication and behind-the-scenes expertise of our analysts and IT department. From system testing and integration to user interface design and security, this launch has been a true team effort. Thank you for your hours, planning, and ongoing support. Your work is directly improving the experience for every patient who walks through our doors (or logs in from home!).

galaThe 2nd Biennial St. Anthony Gala willFoundation be held on Saturday, November 15, at the Arcadia Legion.

This year’s theme, Glam for a Grand Cause, promises an unforgettable evening filled with elegance, excitement, and purpose. Guests can look forward to dazzling décor inspired by a touch of Gatsby flair, while attire remains classic—so polish up those shoes and don your best dress, dolls and dames!

The evening isn’t just about glitz and glamour—it’s about giving back in a big way. Proceeds from the Gala will support the purchase and installation of a PET CT Scanner. This vital piece of equipment will enhance our ability to detect and diagnose cancer, while also serving as a backup CT scanner should our current unit require maintenance or repair.

We are incredibly grateful for the community’s continued support of this important event. More details will be shared soon, but for now, save the date and get ready to celebrate Glam for a Grand Cause!
