December 2025 - The Pulse
Join us in spreading hope and kindness this season!
Support the St. Anthony Shelves of Grace program and make a real difference in our community. Your donations help stock our shelves with essentials, bringing comfort and joy to those in need. Let’s come together and show the power of giving! Click here to view the types of items needed. Donations can be dropped off in the hospital atrium or the Denison Clinic.
Shelves of Grace is a hospital-based program dedicated to improving the lives of families we serve by assisting with nutritional gaps, hygiene product needs and transportation challenges.
Congratulations to Cory Thompson
Cory Thompson has accepted the position of Director of Clinic Services at St. Anthony. Cory brings a strong foundation of education and extensive experience in healthcare safety and leadership, and we are confident he will be a valuable addition to St. Anthony clinic operations.
Over the coming weeks, Cory will gradually transition from his current role as Safety Officer while the search begins for his successor. He will continue to support key safety functions during this period to ensure continuity and a smooth handoff.

St. Anthony CEO, CFO Detail Plans For $32.6 Million, Multi-Year Construction Project

2026 Employee Annual Giving Campaign Update
The 2026 Employee Annual Giving Campaign is off to an outstanding start, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your kindness and generosity. Thanks to the heart of our St. Anthony family, we’re nearing the $9,000 mark – with almost a full month still left in the year. Not bad for a team that’s already juggling a thousand things before lunch.
While our goal is to wrap up this year’s campaign by the end of 2025, the opportunity to give continues throughout 2026. Your contributions fuel meaningful projects that strengthen our mission and directly support those we care for – and those we work beside.
Where Your Gifts Make a Difference
- St. Anthony Child Care Center: Donations will help purchase outdoor play equipment, indoor play items, toys, and small educational materials that support healthy growth and active learning throughout the day.
- SOS Fund: This fund provides support to St. Anthony employees during times of crisis—medical or family emergencies, serious illness, loss of home, or other unexpected hardships. It’s one of the most direct ways we live out our culture of caring.
- Shelves of Grace: Our internal resource program provides short-term food, clothing, and essentials to patients who have immediate needs and no other way to meet them, helping bridge the gap until long-term resources can be secured.
- Hospice Program: Gifts also support compassionate end-of-life care, ensuring dignity, comfort, and peace for patients and their families during their final months and days.
How to Give
You can make a one-time gift or choose payroll deduction. Payroll contributions begin January 1 and continue through all 26 pay periods in 2026.
New This Year
Employees can now make contributions directly through UKG, in addition to giving through the St. Anthony Foundation office as in years past. And here’s a perk: every employee who donates $100 or more will receive a St. Anthony Foundation t-shirt—so you can proudly (and fashionably) show off your support all year long.
To everyone who has already contributed: thank you. Your generosity strengthens our mission, uplifts our colleagues, and enhances the care we provide to every person who enters our doors. Every dollar truly makes a difference.

We Are One St. Anthony - BE HERE NOW
In the Franciscan tradition, we’re reminded that the present moment is where good work really happens. Thank you for showing up fully today — for your patients, your colleagues, and each other.
St. Francis lived this intuitively by:
- greeting the sun, moon, and creatures as present companions
- finding God in work, nature, people, and suffering
- responding spontaneously and wholeheartedly
