December 2024 - The Pulse
Join us in spreading hope and kindness this season! Support the St. Anthony Shelves of Grace program and make a real difference in our community. Your donations help stock our shelves with essentials, bringing comfort and joy to those in need. Let’s come together and show the power of giving! Donations can be dropped off in the hospital atrium or the Denison Clinic.
Shelves of Grace is a hospital-based program dedicated to improving the lives of families we serve by assisting with nutritional gaps, hygiene product needs and transportation challenges.

Variety – The Children's Charity Award St. Anthony with a Grant to Fund Pediatric Crash Carts!
We’re proud to announce that we’ve received a generous grant from Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa!
Thanks to this incredible support, we’ve invested in:
- 3 pediatric crash carts stocked with life-saving supplies
- Updated resuscitation equipment
- Handheld ultrasound devices for quick and accurate assessments
This grant also includes funding for training and education, ensuring our team is fully equipped to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients.
These new crash carts, customized with color-coded, size-appropriate tools, will be placed in the Emergency Department, Surgery Department, and inpatient unit to deliver fast, safe, and specialized care.
“Over 1,000 pediatric patients visit our Emergency Department each year,” said Sara Gonnerman, VP of Patient Services. “These carts make care more organized and efficient. Thank you, Variety - the Children's Charity, for helping us elevate pediatric care in our communities!”

The 2024-2025 Employee Annual Giving Campaign is off to an incredible start, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your kindness and generosity. Thanks to our amazing team, we’re just shy of hitting 50% of our fundraising goal – and we still have about a month left in the year!
While our aim is to wrap up this year’s campaign by the end of 2024, the work doesn’t stop there. Funds raised will go toward exciting projects like new patient furniture and outdoor improvements at the Nursing Home, as well as vital support for our SOS Fund and Hospice programs throughout 2025.
A special shoutout goes to our two generous community donors, who are each matching employee contributions up to $10,000 – that’s $20,000 in matching funds to double your impact!
You can support this year’s program through a one-time donation, or through payroll deductions. Payroll deductions would begin January 1 and occur throughout the 26 pay periods in 2025. Employees also have an opportunity to support this campaign online, by clicking here.
To all our contributors: thank you for making a difference. Every dollar brings us closer to creating a more comfortable and supportive environment for those we serve.
