This course is designed to provide participants with a better understanding of a trauma informed approach. Through this course, participants will:

  • Develop a base knowledge of the scope and impact of trauma for patients.
  • Analyze behaviors that may be displayed by those with trauma.
  • Examine tips and skills to use with patients to help reduce re-traumatization and increase the lieklihood of patients seeking support.
  • Participate in a collaborative conversation about barriers to providing trauma-responsive care.

Class will be held on the 4th Floor of the Surgery Building in the St. Anthony Room.
