Course Description
This discussion will provide members of the primary care team with a review of advanced treatments with biologic, minimally invasive surgeries which can forestall the need for joint replacement. Joint preservation is essential for some patients, as they delay or decline joint replacement surgery due to financial, social, or work issues.
Patients exploring therapeutic joint treatment options have the same goals as those seeking surgical intervention - to reduce pain, improve joint function and improve quality of life.
