Managing Pediatric Conditions and Supportive Care
Event Details
The Managing Pediatric Conditions and Supportive Care course offering provides a review of the most commonly seen respiratory pediatric illnesses in the inpatient setting as well as the hands on experience setting up a Vapotherm unit and applying it to a simulated pediatric patient. The course will review respiratory distress and failure, nursing interventions to complete to support the respiratory system. Participants will also review IV placement and commonly administered pediatric medications to support safe administration and efficacy of use.
Class will be held on the 4th Floor of the Surgery Building. Parking in or around the parking ramp is recommended. Take the elevator in the parking ramp to the 4th floor, and signs will direct you to the classroom.
