Program
MOAB® is a crisis management training and certification program for healthcare providers to gain the skills to recognize, reduce, and manage violent and aggressive behavior. To meet the standards for MOAB Recertification, required every two years, providers must complete a complete the MOAB knowledge test and demonstrate personal defense and safety skills.
Through the MOAB Recertification session, participants will have the opportunity to return demonstration of hands-on techniques for managing physical confrontations, including self-defense tactics for holds, stationary strikes and weapons.
A video demonstration of the MOAB safety skills will be available for review on HealthStream in advance of the recertification session. Participants are also asked to complete the online exam prior to taking part in the face-to-face Recertification session.

Dress Code
Work uniform required (i.e. scrubs, lab coat) and closed toed shoes for the demonstration of physical intervention skills – no jewelry please.
