Visit with Bishop Walker Nickless
Each year, members of St. Anthony visit Bishop Walker Nickless at the Diocese of Sioux City to provide an update regarding St. Anthony Ministries and all its sponsored institutions: St. Anthony Regional Hospital and St. Anthony Foundation. Press releases and communications from the past year are presented as well as evidence of St. Anthony Hospital’s ongoing commitment to integrating the Catholic/Franciscan values within the everyday operation life of the organization.

We Are One St. Anthony - Energy
Becoming more aware of our energy allows us to learn how to manage it to make better choices.
Here are some tips to help you become more aware of your energy:
- Practice self-observation. What feelings tend to signal when your energy is negative? Notice them and if you're in a negative state try to do no harm.
- When you feel busy or overwhelmed take a few deep breaths and release them slowly. This can move your energy to a higher, more positive state.
- Build in time for creating different types of energy throughout your day. This may include a balance of high or low positive activity. Move around. Create some quite time.
- Consider if your energy is getting you closer to your goals for the day, both personally and professionally. If yes, carry on. If no, try to shift your energy by changing your thinking or activity.
Remember, your energy impacts your effectiveness. Taking the time to manage your energy and recognizing how it shifts, can be transformative to those around you.

The Employee Engagement Committee, formerly the R3 Committee, rolled out a new staff recognition program: Blue CHIPS.
St. Anthony is committed to come together as one team, One St. Anthony, and to be intentional in defining and improving our culture. To promote team camaraderie and self-fulfillment, the Employee Engagement Committee would like to introduce Blue CHIPS Staff Recognition Program.
Some things in life and at work are much more important than others; we call those important items Blue Chips. As an organization, some of the Blue Chips that St. Anthony values are collaboration, helpfulness, innovation, progression, and giving a shout out to those who have done something great.
Blue CHIPS Staff Recognition Program allows employees to recognize and appreciate each other in ways that align with these Blue Chip attributes of collaboration.
Read more about it in the graphic to the right!
Your manager has all the details, including dates for the first round of nominations & bonuses. This is OPEN NOW for submissions!
