SUMMARY Prepares and cooks meals for patients, residents, staff and visitors, working from established recipes, formulas and menu cycles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews menu, assembles food supplies and equipment for daily food production.
Prepares food items according to approved recipes using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment.
Completes production records.
Monitors and assures food quality, taste and temperature of all food products.
Cleans assigned areas following established cleaning procedures and schedules.
Completes all other duties as assigned.
Complies with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations, and Standards of Conduct relating to the position and agrees to report any suspected violations of law or Standards of Conduct.
Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Attends all mandatory meetings and programs.
Maintains a safe work environment using safe work practices, utilizing standard precautions and complying with hazardous waste procedures at all times as described in St. Anthony's Safety Manual.
Maintains the confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, patients, families and other employees of the organization.
