SUMMARY Provides patient care to inpatients and outpatients while helping coordinate departmental activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain full patient load.
Performs Clinical Instructor (CI) duties for students on clinical internships.
Helps coordinate Performance Improvement program.
Instruct, train, and supervise subordinates.
Performs patient care documentation on a daily basis.
Completes all other duties as assigned.
Complies with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations, and Standards of Conduct relating to the position and agrees to report any suspected violations of law or Standards of Conduct.
Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Attends all mandatory meetings and programs.
Maintains a safe work environment using safe work practices, utilizing standard precautions and complying with hazardous waste procedures at all times as described in St. Anthony's Safety Manual.
Maintains the confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.
Assists in carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, patients, families, regulatory agencies, or members of the community. Ability to effectively present information to management, the public and/or board of directors.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Iowa.
Three to five years Physical Therapy practice.
