Job Description

We are accepting applications for relief status CNA's should our need for additional temporary staff arise due to COVID-19.

You may be contacted if additional staff is needed.

SUMMARY Provides safe and quality patient care by performing the following limited RN duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. The RN in this role has the ability to:

Assesses patient condition and reports significant changes.

Administer prescribed medications and treatment plans in accordance with St. Anthony policies.

Document in the electronic medical record.

Explain procedures and treatments to patients/families to help them participate in their plan of care.

Follow nursing care standards and emergency protocols when responding to medical emergencies.

Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team, including the patient and the patient’s support network.

Maintain a safe care environment, apply standard infection prevention precautions, and comply with hazardous waste procedures.

Demonstrate professionalism and work cooperatively with others.

Comply with the St. Anthony Corporate Compliance Policy, regulations for healthcare providers, and standards of conduct.

Maintain the confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, managers, customers, patients, families and the general public.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Graduate of an approved school for professional nursing

Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Iowa

AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
