St. Anthony Receives Deficiency-Free Survey from Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals

Friday, 30 July 2010

Nursing homes are required to be in compliance with at least 300 federal regulations, and nearly as many state regulations. During the annual inspection process, surveyors from the Department of Inspections and Appeals review compliance with specific procedures and processes, including nursing care, staffing, personal cares, dietary issues, activities, social concerns, documentation, and quality issues.

Sherry Greteman, St. Anthony Nursing Home Director, stated, “This rating represents the highest score possible from the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals, and symbolizes our entire staff’s commitment and dedication to providing the best possible resident-centered care.”

“It is our goal to assure our public that we have quality staff, services, and facilities. That’s what it takes to get a deficiency-free survey,” stated Gary Riedmann, St. Anthony CEO. “A deficiency-free rating also demonstrates to our residents and their families that we truly care about providing a safe, compassionate, home-like environment for our residents.”
