Stoolman Family Partners with St. Anthony Foundation for Memorial Scholarships Tuesday, 06 July 2010 (Pictured are: (Front L to R) Dan Stoolman, Jackson Stoolman, Cyril Venner, Anita Venner, Kenny Venner. Sheryl, a daughter of Cyril and Anita (Bruch) Venner, received her LPN degree from the St. Anthony School of Nursing and her RN degree from DMACC, where she continued as a part-time nursing instructor. Sheryl worked as an emergency room nurse at St. Anthony for 26 years and also as an EMT with the Carroll County Ambulance Service. She was a member of the Emergency Nurses Association of Iowa, Iowa Trauma Association and was honored as one of the Iowa Hospital Association’s Hospital Heroes in 2007. Sheryl died on May 13th, following an accident near Ogden, Iowa. Dan Stoolman, Sheryl’s husband, said of the partnership, “We received many donations in Sheryl’s memory from the community following the accident. Partnering with St. Anthony allows our family to stay involved in scholarship decisions while giving donors the advantage of making a tax free donation.” Donations are being accepted by the St. Anthony Foundation, PO Box 628, Carroll, IA 51401, c/o Sheryl Stoolman Memorial.
