Foundation Nears Capital Campaign Goal

Thursday, 22 April 2010

This campaign has been lead by 32 individuals, many of whom have a tie to agriculture. “The option of giving gifts and pledges of cash and/or grain were well received. We are pleased with the generous support St. Anthony has received from the community and we look forward to surpassing our campaign goal in the next few weeks.” said Gary Riedmann, St. Anthony President. “We invited people to participate in this campaign who are sometimes overlooked as potential donors; those who are able to donate corn, beans, or other commodities. Assets such as these make great charitable gifts. We are excited with all the contributions made to better St. Anthony’s.”

The $4 million project addressed increased usage, and concerns for the security and privacy of patients, families and staff. The Emergency Department expansion project increased space for trauma treatment and addressed concerns for patient, family and staff privacy and security issues.

“Agriculture and healthcare have a lot in common. Both are the bedrock of a community. When farmers do well, we all do well. And when health care is strong, we’re all strong. It’s a win-win when we all pull together and work together,” said Trish Roberts, Foundation Director. The Foundation has worked closely with all area elevators and grain-receiving centers and these facilities make transfer of ownership easy, while the farmer maintains use of the grain for proven yields.
