After two semesters, I have learned that college is very expensive. While going to school I am working less and spending more money for classes than I ever have before. This scholarship allows me to continue my education with a little less financial hardship. I would like to thank the St. Anthony Foundation for helping with my educational goals!”

Going to school along with being a wife and the mother of two small children has been stressful. Besides the financial help this scholarship offers, I appreciate the encouragement from others who believe in me. I hope to be able to return that feeling to another student who may need financial help in the future.”

This scholarship has helped defray the costs of my education and has given me more determination to keep on the path towards gaining my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Knowing that St. Anthony's is supportive of my future goal and career is a very wonderful feeling. Thank you!”

Haylee Barnard, 2009 St. Anthony Foundation Scholarship Recipient

 Haylee Barnard
is a 2007 Manning High School graduate attending DMACC in Carroll. She has been awarded the St. Anthony Foundation Scholarship twice and says, “By receiving $500 from the St. Anthony Foundation, I am so grateful that I have money to spend on my textbooks and board fees, so that my income from being an LPN at the Manning Regional Hospital can go towards the bills that life throws my way. Without this extra money, it would delay my nursing goals. And for that, I would like to personally thank St. Anthony Foundation for making my RN goal possible to achieve!”
