Robert Langenfeld, M.D., Joins St. Anthony Mental Health Services St. Anthony welcomed Robert Langenfeld, M.D., as a board-certified psychiatrist at St. Anthony Mental Health Services on August 17th. Dr. Langenfeld joins Michael Carabine, M.D., Susan Muhlbauer, Ph.D., ARNP, and Diane Pinneke, LISW, to provide significant care and counseling for Carroll area residents needing inpatient and outpatient psychiatric medicine. Dr. Langenfeld, returns to Carroll following a Naval career where he served as a staff psychiatrist and department head at U.S. Naval Hospitals located at Camp LeJeune, in North Carolina, and most recently, at Guantanamo Bay. He received his undergraduate degree in biology, as well as his medical degree at Creighton University, in Omaha. He served as Chief Resident during his psychiatry residency at the Naval Medical Center, in San Diego, California. Dr. Langenfeld has practiced psychiatry for five years and is considered an expert on post traumatic stress disorder.  Dr. Langenfeld, who grew up in Carroll, and his family are excited to be relocating to Carroll. Gary Riedmann, hospital president, said, “We are extremely pleased to have Dr. Langenfeld join our mental health staff. He brings an extraordinary background in psychiatry to care for our patients and is a familiar face to many people in Carroll.”
