EKG Interpretation Course Offered at St. Anthony September 18 & 19

The St. Anthony Education Center will serve as the site for the program.  Participants are invited to park in the covered garage and take the elevators in the Surgery Center building to the fourth floor Education Center classrooms.

The EKG Interpretation course will provide participants with basic knowledge of the evaluation and initial treatment of basic cardiac rhythms.  Discussion topics include anatomy and normal
physiology of the heart, fundamentals of electrocardiography, EKG changes associated with angina and MI, and the significance and emergency treatment of abnormal dysrhythmias and
heart block.

Faculty will be Heather Toft, BSN, RN, Clinical Educator, St. Anthony Regional Hospital. 

The course has been approved for 1.0 CEUs by Iowa Board of Nursing Provider #72, St. Anthony Regional Hospital.

The fee is $120.00 per person, which includes tuition, course materials, refreshments and recording of CEU's.  There is no fee for St. Anthony employees. Enrollment is limited to 15 participants.
