Over the past twelve years more than $510,000 has been raised through St. Anthony’s annual golf outing for hospital projects. Co-chairs for this year’s Golf Classic are Stacy Boyer and Rob Cordes.

Hole-in-one sponsors for this year’s event include Ace Hardware, Carroll Cycle Center, Champion Ford, Drees Company, Walsh Motors, Wilkie Clothiers and Wittrock Motors. Hy-Vee is providing a $500 gift package for members of the team with the overall best score. Special activities through the day include two chipping contests, a putting contest, buy a pro tee shot and a closest to the wheelchair contest for a $500 savings bond given by Commercial Savings Bank.

Representatives from area businesses will be serving as volunteers throughout the golf course. Lunch will be provided by Cookies BBQ and Pepsi while the evening social hour will be sponsored by Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons, JEO Consulting Group Inc., and Mid-Iowa Insurance and Real Estate. Proceeds from this year’s Golf Classic golf outing will be used to recruit full-time primary and specialty care physicians including pediatrics, cardiology, internal medicine and family care to St. Anthony Regional Hospital.
