Pioneer Hi-Bred Supports St. Anthony Regional Hospital

Friday, 06 May 2011

Kevin Willey, local account manager, presented the check to Karen Timm, Vice-President, Patient Services at St. Anthony Regional Hospital and Trish Roberts, Development Director of St. Anthony Foundation on behalf of the local Pioneer sales team which include Mark Bower of Coon Rapids, Matt Hinners of Halbur, Jeff Sanders of Carroll and Mike Uhlenkamp of Breda. Mr. Willey and the local sales team provided endorsements for the grant.

“Pioneer is proud to support St. Anthony Regional Hospital and the emergency department renovation,” Willey says. “Funding this project has already had a positive impact on the lives of many people across the region where we do business. It’s not only important to the community and company, but our local field team is also excited to support ongoing progress at the hospital.”

“We are grateful for the support of Pioneer Hi-Bred toward this important project. The design of the new emergency department has transformed our former emergency room,” said Gary Riedmann, hospital president. “Two trauma rooms, five exam rooms and a cast room are all within visibility of the nurses’ station. Access to the area is limited to those involved in emergency services and allows privacy for patients and grieving families in addition to enhanced security for patients, families and employees.”

Pioneer is able to fund activities like this through a community investment program. The company is committed to strengthening local communities by supporting education, agriculture and farm safety projects at a local level.
“We want to thank the area Pioneer sales team for working together to support this project.” said Karen Timm, hospital vice-president.  “Each and every day, our patients and their families, along with St. Anthony staff are benefiting from the great improvements that have taken place in our emergency department.”

“It’s important to Pioneer that youth, educational and community development programs are supported because it’s these activities that strengthen and improve our local community,” adds Willey.
