St. Anthony Auxiliary

Front Desk Ambassadors greet and provide direction to patients, families & visitors who come to St. Anthony.

Clerical/Office Volunteers assist with mailings and other general clerical duties in various departments throughout St. Anthony.

Flower Delivery Volunteers deliver flowers to hospitalized patients 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.,  Monday through Friday.

Gift & Coffee Shop Volunteers help customers purchase gifts, snacks and sundries in the coffee and gift shop. Shifts are scheduled in advance and hours vary.

Flower Volunteers serve as floral designers, making floral arrangements for sale in the Auxiliary Coffee Shop.

Surgery Waiting Room Volunteers assist by providing information/direction to the family members of surgery patients from 8:00 a.m. – noon, Monday through Friday.

St. Anthony Foundation Volunteers: 

Fundraising Volunteers help identify prospective donors for various projects, including major gifts, capital campaigns, planned giving and endowment giving. Contact Trish Roberts, Development Director, at 712-794-5223 for more information.

Special Event Volunteers help organize and facilitate special events such as the St. Anthony Golf Classic, Masching Hospice Golf Tournament, Rotary Hospice Softball Tournament and other events that increase public awareness and/or raise funds for St. Anthony Regional Hospital and Nursing Home. To volunteer, contact Trish Roberts, Development Director, at 712-794-5223 for more information.

Nursing Home Volunteers

Volunteers provide one-on-one visits to residents, transporting residents and help with activities, Mass and mealtimes; and provide help in the dining room etc. Contact Aura Lee Sibenaller at 712-794-5289.

Pastoral Care Department

These volunteers visit nursing home residents and hospital patients, transport residents to Mass, and distribute Communion. For more information, contact Peg Scheidt, Pastoral Care Director, at 712-794-5434 or email pmscheidt@stanthonyhospital.org.

Hospice Volunteers

Volunteers spend time with those who are preparing to die as well as their loved ones who are anticipating loss. There is a 20 hour training program to equip these volunteers. Volunteers are also needed to help with office work (including mailings), Tree of Love and other annual fundraising events, and patient transportation.
