Sr. Lucy Mworia, practitioner at Charlotte Health Centre, Sanya Juu, Tanzania, East Africa, has been job shadowing in St. Anthony’s ultrasound department since May 29, and will complete her training at St. Anthony on June 7. Sr. Lucy comes from the same convent in Rauya, Tanzania, as the Holy Spirit African sisters who work as CNAs at St. Anthony Nursing Home. When her training at St. Anthony is finished, Sr. Lucy will travel to Rhode Island for additional training. She will be in the United States for approximately one year before returning to Tanzania. Sr. Lucy has been a practitioner for 23 years and is currently learning ultrasound technology. As a practitioner at Charlotte Health Center in Sanya Juu, Sr. Lucy diagnoses and treats patients, often seeing as many as 60 individuals per day.
