David Nystrom, D.O., Achieves Board Certification

 Dr. David Nystrom has successfully achieved Board Certification status with the American Board of Family Medicine. Board Certification confers a standard of excellence in knowledge and practice to physicians who, not only certify by the examination process, but also work diligently on maintenance of these skills. The certification examination covers the disciplines of adult medicine, care of newborns, infants, children and adolescents; maternity and gynecological care; community medicine; care of older patients; and care of surgical patients.

 Dr. Nystrom graduated from medical school at Des Moines University and completed a family medicine residency program at the University of Iowa affiliated Siouxland Medical Education Foundation, in Sioux City, Iowa. Dr. Nystrom is a member of the St. Anthony Regional Hospital medical staff and practices at the St. Anthony medical clinic, in Coon Rapids, Iowa.

 Dr. Nystrom, his wife, Melissa, and sons, Zach and James, reside in Carroll.
