St. Anthony Auxiliary Volunteer Awards |

Members of the St. Anthony Auxiliary gathered on Monday, April 16th at the Greteman Center for their annual potluck meeting. A highlight of the spring event is the recognition given to Auxiliary members who donate their time and talents to serve in a variety of hospital functions. “ “St. Anthony has always recognized the service that our volunteers provide in a variety of ways at the hospital and nursing home, said Gary Riedmann, President. “Our mission clearly says that our volunteers are one of our most valuable resources, and we see that in so many ways each day at St. Anthony.” The hospital Auxiliary currently has 262 active members, who donated a total of 28,005 hours, along with 42 volunteers who are not auxiliary members, but who donated over 8,620 hours. “That totals 36,635 hours of time and talent donated by people who believe in the important part St. Anthony plays in the life our community,” Said Riedmann. volunteer service include: Auxiliary Members receiving awards for cumulative hours: 100 Hours –
Annette Baumhover, Shirley Baumhover, Lorraine Danner, Roselyn Diers,
Leo Hansen, Linda Hansen, Janet Hoff, Marilyn Hoffman, Joyce Koster,
Lois Loneman, Jan Mosman, Jeanne Neu, Janice Potthoff, Ethel Reiff,
Marge Reiling, Marilyn Ruchti, Mary Ann Sibenaller, Alice Schmitz,
Emily Tadsen, Peggy Wilberding, Verena Wittrock. 1,000 Hours – Carol Boes, Lucy Dostal, Fran Pedelty, Lois Rickers, Jan Schroeder, Jean Spencer, Carol Stark, Sister Marian Wieland 5,000 Hours – Luella Menke 7,000 Hours – Agnes Schwaller Helen Wieland, Alberta Wittrock and Jo Twit were honored as charter members. They were part of the founding group who, in 1955, were the first St. Anthony Auxiliary volunteers. Past Presidents
recognized for their leadership were: Vernell Wittrock, Emily Tadsen,
Carol Stark, Jan Schroeder, Jackie Deen, Velma Schweers, Ella
Mueggenberg, and Maxine Huebner. |
